What the girls are up to this week:)

According to the books, the girls are weighing in at about one and one-half pounds and are approximately 12 inches long! The babies are in the classic fetal position. Every joint in their bodies isflexed. The chin is on the chest, the elbows are tucked at the sides, and the babies’ hands are cupped close to their faces most of the time-like little boxers with their guards up. The hips are flexed bringing the knees up to the chest with ankles and feet crossed and tucked up under their
little bottoms.

The babies have periods of alertness and activity each day but don’t count on them coinciding!
During their playtimes, they will stretch their arms and legs, kick, roll, punch and move all around and then they will resume their quite slumber in the fetal position.

The girls have been more active lately and I think that Jason felt them for the first time last weekend. I am feeling them more regularly and can’t wait to get back to the doctor on Monday to see exactly where Lela is hiding out. Sometimes I feel her on my side and then sometimes I think I am feeling her at my belly button, so lord only knows what types of positions that little one is getting into. Piper is pretty much in the same place and moves a lot more, I think she is a little more crammed for space than Lela.

So we will report back on Monday or Tuesday about the visit and what news we have to share. I am still doing really well and some days people can’t even tell I am prego (that is with a big shirt or vest of course).

We are down to the last little things that we need and I feel good about that. We will probably be setting up the nursery really soon which will be fun. Jason and I are making a mobile to put over the changing table that he is building. I might even do a few murals on the walls:)

All for now:)
