Nothing new

Well there is nothing new to report. The girls are still working on their sleep schedules so sometimes Piper does one feeding a night or none and Lela does one or two depending on when they turn in. They are incredibly easy to put to bed, just watch for the eye rubbing and then trot them upstairs and put them in their cribs, within 10 minutes and without any tears or whines they are asleep. Such good little girls.

We don’t go to the pediatrician until until late June when they will be 6 months old. Lela has a sonogram on her hips next Friday because she was breech, there is no issue and the doctor expects a clean bill of health, just a precaution. So other than that we are just hanging out sleeping and eating. They are pretty good about doing both all day long. Generally they take turns being up which is nice because you get quality time with both. Sometimes I have to rig up a double feeding but it all works out.

I wonder why Jason never posts anymore:) HA! LOL!

Piper found her hand

Well Piper has found her hand and it is quite funny. She is fascinated by it for all of 30 seconds and then on to the bright light again. Lela continues to be all smiles, unless of course Rupert barks and scares her and then she is so upset she cries crocodile tears for what seems like an eternity. All the while Rupert never gets up and just keeps licking his foot happy he has scared off the invisible man that was bugging him. The girls are so much fun, everyday I can’t wait to get up to see what will happen next.

She did it again

Well Piper did it again, she pulled an all nighter. And by all nighter I mean from about 9PM to 6AM. It is kind of wierd but I guess it is all part of the game plan. Lela still is waking up at least once but in a couple of weeks I bet she pulls her first all nighter.

Anyway, no other news. But you have to check out the pictures of the girls in their bright velour jumpsuits one of my friends gave us, they are too cute.

Slept through the night

Yes, that is right one of the girls decided to sleep through the night. A sort of early Mother’s Day present I guess. Although Jason and I did not sleep through the night because we kept getting up to check on her. It was Piper that decided she would rather sleep than eat, and she is the one who usually would rather eat than do anything. Lela is doing great as well only getting up once during the night for a nightcap. So we will see how it goes from here but it was a surprise.

They have been doing great putting themselves to sleep with the white noise CD. They are such good girls. They are about to discover their hands I think, they have been putting them in their mouths all week and chatting up a storm. Everyday I am amazed at how much they change. I just love them so much.

Cinco de Mayo

Well here we are the 5th of May. The girls are continuing to change everyday. They are getting into some sort of sleep rythymn which is interesting, something else I never thought would happen. They are waking up once or twice during the night depending on when they go to bed. Last night they were on the exact same schedule which was a first. They get up around 7AM and start their day of napping, eating, napping, eating with a couple of hours of play time in between.

Piper actually squealed at Jason during an especially joyful moment. Its funny because she gets so solemn when you break out the camera, I think she is too interested in trying to figure out what it is that she just won’t smile. The rest of the day she is all grins. Lela loves to smile and coo too but she doesn’t get as distracted by the camera so we actually catch some of those. Both of them have discovered their hands and think they are quite tasty:) It makes it a little harder to know when they are hungry but not for long, if you miss any cue they let ya know about it and if you go too long Lela lets you know about it for a looooong time. She is a bit of a drama queen that one.

Everyone is doing great and we couldn’t be happier;)
