A Good Night\’s Sleep
I love it when the girls get a good night’s sleep, or a good nap. This morning, after a pretty good night, Lela woke up and was just all smiles, all the time. She’s got the biggest grin and it’s such a boost in the morning when you look over at her and smile and she smiles back.
When Piper has a good night’s sleep it’s similar, but of course unique. Her little face will light up and she’ll give you a sly grin. I think she’s just as happy to see you in the morning, she just shows it in her own way.
I think we’ve decided that Lela will definitely clap when she’s happy. When I got home from work yesterday Mystique and the girls were sitting out front in the grass on a blanket. When I walked up Piper was still focusing on the flower she was holding but Lela looked up and smiled big and started clapping. I sat down next to her, said hello, and then I started clapping. Once she saw that, she again grinned her gummy-grin and clapped with me. It was awesome.
Piper’s a bit different with clapping… when she sees you doing it, she wants to hold your hands. She’ll lean forward as far as she can with her pudgy little hands outstretched towards yours. If she can reach, she’ll grab them and then look right up at you with either her curious look her own little smile. Such sweet babies.
