Apparently we have passed a milestone

So we are back in to all our crafting so we must have passed a milestone. Previously it was impossible due to the addition of our third little angel but she must be becoming more independent because we have been busy, busy, busy! The girls and I are having lots of fun crafting and making things in the holiday spirit. I have even found some time to make no sew blankets as gifts for the holidays.

Landis has passed several milestones lately that I know of. She is learning to fall asleep on her own, a wee bit. She doesn’t want to be worn in the Ergo anymore, I have been putting her to sleep in that for almost 6 months now. She still resists falling asleep and wants to do it on her own terms which is good. She is still a restless sleeper but I think (I hope) she is getting better. She just doesn’t want to miss a thing. She is absolutely angelic when she does fall asleep though:) Landis is also in to brushing her own teeth, feeding herself, going number 2 on the potty and wanting everything I or the girls have. She continues to be uber independent and dependent all at the same time. I am glad I got down some solid parenting skills prior to having Landis since she requires a wee bit more patience and skill to handle:)

4, 2 and 1?

We were out shopping the other day and the cashier was chatting away about kids and how she leaves hers with someone else during the day and then gets bombarded with other kids at work. She was jolly about it I think she was just chatty. We were at Trader Joes and there the kids get their own buggies and help to load and unload the groceries. I had Landis in a big buggy and the girls were unloading their groceries for the checker. She commented on the absolute cuteness of my kids (maybe she did not but I added it in anyway) and then she said, “how old are they, 4, 2 and 1?” Poor Peeps, she thought that she was only 2! Now I don’t think Piper looks small enough to be a two year old, maybe a big two year old. But I think the height difference is so noticeable now between the two folks figure they can’t be twins! She was spot on on the other ages.

Piper hasn’t changed shoe sizes or pants sizes in over a year but we have had to move her up on the clothes ladder because Lela is up in the 5′s due to a long waist and long legs and when she tries to wear Piper’s 2′s it don’t go so well:)

And Piper if you are reading this some time in the future you were not small and actually slow growing is healthier:)
