Good Friday

We are still accident free and she did not wet the bed! Landis woke up about 12:30A last night and she was crying but dry (she generally wakes up and comes to our room each night). I asked her if she wanted to go potty and then sleep with me and she said yes reluctantly. She peed and then snuggled up to me for the rest of the night. So she was dry all night!

I think we have finally made it to the end of the potty training tunnel without hitting another train head on. I am sure they may be accidents but I know she has got it. I am still plowing my way through as much snack mix, chocolate and what nots that I can find so I know I am still stressed from the whole experience. But we set out to do it and we stuck to it and we did it (the whole lot of us, this was definitely a family affair).

I did have to take Lela aside one time and tell her that by not being happy for Landis she was hurting her feelings. The first thing Landis wants to do is run and tell Poppy and Heeela and when Heeela just looks at her and walks away it is a little sad. To Lela’s (Heela) credit she has been oh so excited since I explained to her that she was hurting Landis. I am so ready for the weekend. I have a pile of things to do but don’t plan on doing any of them and relaxing instead. I might actually take some time for myself on Sunday morning and read a book, wish me luck.

Desert Marigold here we come!

We are sooo excited! We got in to Desert Marigold our only Waldorf option in Phoenix! Jason and I are beside ourselves. The girls never knew there was a chance they wouldn’t get in so they are not really excited other than the general excitement about Kindergarten. We don’t know who their teacher is or what is the next step but we are thrilled.

Landis is going to stay at Desert Sun in a Wed/Fri 2 hours a day class. The great news is about that is that she will be getting the girls teacher and is already comfortable with her. Oh and her BFF Elise is going to be in her class as well.

I wonder if we will be this excited when they get in to college, I bet we will be even MORE so. Parenting does have its rewards eh?

Day 7 of Potty Training

Filed under:Kids — posted by mystique on @ 5:44 pm

Today was Day 7 of potty training and we have been accident free for TWO WHOLE DAYS! It started to kick in for her on Day 5 and she went to the potty with Jason and went right away. Jason said the look on her face was just priceless and it was the exact moment that she got it!

We have had one poo on the pot, one in the bathtub and one in our Bumpy training pants (but that was totally my fault, I was distracted by an issue at the girls school). She has to go poo right now and is scared as she can be.

UPDATE: 645PM she finally did it, she poo’d on the potty. She was so excited after her initial scared to death moment. Hopefully this is a break through for number two. Now on to staying dry through the night. What an eventful week for our little one.
