We have been busy little bees here in Tejas. We landed in San Antonio after having a pretty uneventful flight. The girls were super on the plane and the flight attendant actually made a point to say that having my children on the plane was a delight. Mom and Dad picked us up with no trouble with Grandpa waiting at the gate for the girls (and I). Mom picked us up at the curb and we were off. We hit a mexican restaurant on the way home with a super sized kid playground which Piper and Lela enjoyed and worked off some pent up plane energy.
We hung out the rest of the day and got settled. On Thursday we hit the library for storytime, computer time and crafts. Then we headed over to the park for some run around time. Friday we got up and went to Kiddie Park and the girls had an absolute blast. Then Mel and Ava came down in the afternoon to stay for a few days.
Saturday brought more fun with the Prickly Pear Run for Mel and I and some Grandma and Grandpa time for the girls. Sunday we left Phoebe with G and G and we headed over to ArtWerks where they girls created mountains of art. Mel treated us to some home cooked Mexican, yum! Tomorrow we are off to the McKenna Museum in New Braunfels and on Tuesday we might just collapse from exhaustion but we shall see.
In between all the fun the girls managed to pick out their first rings from James Avery which was super fun. They are all very excited about them. Oh and Lela lost another tooth! Gah! How am I going to keep track of all this stuff? I already feel like a chicken with her head cut off, lol.
On top of all that Texas switched to daylight savings time. The only one it seems to affect is poor Pheebs. She is a bit of a wreck since she is tied to the sun rising and setting. How is it that the only one that has zero concept of time is having the hardest time with daylight savings? I think I have finally gotten her to sleep after much crying from her:( Hopefully she will have a better day tomorrow. It doesn’t help that she cut another bottom tooth and has two attempting to break through on top. Hard work for such a little peanut:)
